During a special event, organized by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency on the 6th of June, the winners of the SDGP Facility were officially awarded. ICCO received 2 program subsidies out of a total of 16.
The SDG Partnership Facility (SDGP) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs contributes the Dutch agenda for aid, trade and investment. It is launched by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO.nl) and supports the SDGs 2, 8 and 17. The SGDP Facility is open for partnerships between the government, private sector, NGOs and/or knowledge institutions. The tender of ICCO was successful for :
- MasterPeas: Myanmar pulses for agricultural growth, higher income and nutrition. This project increases the production and income of 9,000 pulses farmers and 1.000 female workers in Myanmar.
- South Senegal Rice on the Rise: This project increases the income and resilience of 30.000 smallholders rice farmers (of which 20,000 women) in southern Senegal.
Public Private Partnerships
ICCO is the lead partner in these public-private partnerships. They are perfectly in line with ICCO’s multi-annual strategy towards economic development, food and nutrition security by strengthening the capacities of cooperatives and smallholder farmers. Our extensive experience in working with the private sector and farmers, also in Myanmar and Senegal, contributed to this result.
