MANQ’A SIÑANI: Let's eat together! A successful, beneficial, massive and delicious gastronomic event

On august 30th, ICCO organized a beneficial dinner called “Manq’a Siñani – Let’s eat together” with the main goal of raising funds to support the Manq’a program. By now, the Manq'a project has successfully trained more than 3,500 vulnerable young men and women as cooks and gastronomic entrepreneurs in Bolivia and Colombia.

The successful event brought together the best Bolivian chefs, restaurants and bartenders of La Paz, who donated their creativity and talent to develop a 6-step tasting menu with exclusive pairing. The event was presented live and projected on a big screen to more than 209 attendees who paid their entrance and lived a sensory gastronomic show unprecedented in the history of Bolivia.

Attendees were representatives of international organizations, diplomatic delegations, executives of the private sector, public officials and food lovers, who from start to finish, tasted dishes and drinks made based on ingredients from local Andean products.

The event, organized by ICCO Cooperation and Melting Pot Bolivia was supported by 9 companies and 2 development organizations. Manq’a Siñani raised approximately 7,000 Euros which will be destined to the study of new young cooks of Manq’a.
