The proposed project aims to reduce the present prevalence rate of malnutrition among ethnic population which is below the present national status, thus contributing to the improved nutrition status of the people living under the poverty line in the country. Specifically-Improve nutrition status of adolescent girls, pregnant women, lactating mothers and under 2 year���s children in Dinajpur district.
Expected impact: Nutrition status of ethnic population in the target area is equal to or above the national nutrition status.
Specific objective-1: To increase knowledge and attitudes for improving feeding and hygiene practices through behavior and communication change (BCC) of ethnic households included men, women and care givers.
Outcome-1: Increased knowledge level on dietary diversity and hygiene specially for adolescent girls, pregnant women and under 2 years children of target households including men-women and caregivers.
Specific objective-2: To strengthen capacity of ethnic households to adopt and apply technology in agriculture diversification and nutrient balanced food consumption.
Outcome-2: Ethnic households adopted modern technology to increase production of homestead gardening for nutrition balanced food production and consumption.
Specific objective-3: To empower ethnic population enabling to access to public services and entitlement.
Outcome-3: Ethnic communities are well aware on available government service and organized to get services from the government.
