This project will strengthen the capacities of rural youth to position themselves better in agrifood chains by entrepeneurial plans. By doing so it is expected for the rural youth to be economic empowered, stablish relations with the private sector and have networking for advocacy in government plans and programs.

After the signing of the peace agreement in Colombia, rural development offers a window of opportunity for the young population. For this is necessary improve their access to the labor market and income generation (rural youth have an income 45% lower than urban youth). Today the country explores multiple rural development options that should generate value and involve all the actors related to agrifood value chains and that represent real opportunities for the establishment and permanence of young men and women in the countryside.
