Manqa in Kennedy is a program integrated of an ICCO bigger country program related to Manqa schools.
This ICCO program is funded by the RVO, that covers a percentage of the functioning of the Kennedy and Cali Manqa schools. As well it involves the participation of other Dutch organizations such as: Generous Minds and Just Nuts. This project is a very important way for youngsters to build personal, technical and entrepreneur capacities at different levels related to its culture and also to knowledge and best practice, using and promoting local Colombian gastronomic products, delivered by local organizations of small peasants producers.
Fundacion Pequeno Trabajador (FPT) is a local NGO promoting for the past 28 years integral human development processes for children, adolescents and vulnerable groups. The foundation is located in the Patio Bonito neighborhood (in the district of Kennedy in Bogota Colombia) but it also has specific impact in the Bosa and Ciudad Bolivar districts. The action has been developed through experiences and practices exchanges and also pedagogical and entrepreneurial experiences exchanges.
FPT has benefit approximately 10.000 people who have found sustainable economic practices and have reach social and economic empowerment.
