According to the last census of Myanmar, 1,3 million people in Myanmar are with a form of disability. Also, 35.6% of the population between 15 and 64 in Myanmar are either economically inactive or unemployed, of which nearly 6% are with a form of disability. It is important that people with disabilities are assisted in increasing their possibilities to participate in the labor market, so they can reduce their vulnerability and enhance their livelihood.
