The Vuela Libre Movement in Bolivia started developing its work in 2014 with the objective of raising awareness regarding commercial sexual exploitation and contributing to positioning the issue in different social, political and institutional spaces.
Vuela Libre Movement is a plural and diverse space that promotes the participation for the mobilization of stakeholders and sectors through reflection, learning and complementarity actions. It is made up of civilian society organizations, activist organizations, volunteers, grassroots organizations, collectives and individuals committed to the fight against sexual commercial exploitation in order to reduce its incidence and exponential increase in Bolivia.
Coordination meetings were held in the last months of 2016 with the institutions that participate in the construction of Vuela Libre Movement Bolivia in order to jointly build the communication campaign about CSEC (sexual commercial exploitation children) of that year.
Likewise, actions based on art and personal development for the attention and prevention of sexual commercial exploitation had a very important impact. The project worked different artistic dynamics as psychological recovery methodologies in victims or people at risk. This had a big impact on the boys, girls and adolescents as holders of rights because it allowed them to express what they went through, but also their projects, life projections, their dreams and hopes. No less important is to point out that the plays, workshops and dance became a strategy for prevention with a high level of effectiveness.
